Thank you to our volunteers! National Volunteer Week 2025

At Houston Audubon, our volunteers are the heart of everything we do — from native plant propagation to bird surveys, from sanctuary maintenance to educational outreach.

To our Natives Nursery team: thank you for helping us grow — literally and figuratively. With every seed you sow and every plant you nurture, you restore native habitat and give wildlife a place to thrive.

To our Trail Crew and Sanctuary Workday volunteers: you keep our paths clear not just for people, but for the experience of connection. You sweat through the seasons to make our sanctuaries accessible and safe for all who wander through them.

To our Education and Bird-Friendly Spaces volunteers: thank you for sparking curiosity and wonder in young minds, and spreading the message that conservation starts at home and in our communities.

To our Spring Migration team at High Island, and our dedicated Bird Survey Leaders: thank you for welcoming birders of all backgrounds, sharing your knowledge, and fostering connections throughout our region. Your time, presence, and passion fuel bird conservation in real, measurable ways.

And to our Young Professionals Advisory Council (YPAC): your energy, leadership, and fresh ideas light the way for the future of conservation, and your support carries our mission forward.

Whether you’ve planted a seed, led a walk, cleared a trail, counted birds, or welcomed a visitor — thank you for giving your time and heart to this mission.

From all of us at Houston Audubon: Thank You. You help us grow. You help us soar. 💚
